Shooting in St. Thomas kills one Cruiser

USA Today reports that two passengers from the Carnival Victory were victims of a gang shootout that happened during their visit to island of St. Thomas. One of the victims, a 14 year old female was fatally injured, while the other only sustained minor injuries.


The shootout occurred while a bus full of tourist was traveling from the port to Coki Point Beach.

Carnival claims to be "suspending all excursions that include the St. Thomas neighborhood where the shooting took place until further notice". But from what I remember on my visit to St. Thomas, was that there were very few streets and eliminating one neighborhood to pass through would severely limit the amount of activities you could do on the island.
